Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Marimba Studio handles profile accounts, Rumble Points, song progress, recordings, settings, authentication, payment and subscription records, and mobile/desktop synced data.

It should be read with the Terms of Service. Creating a profile is voluntary. If you create a profile or use synced features, certain information must be processed so those features can work.

The Marimba Studio is created and operated by Alistair Dickerson, operating under the creative brand The Rumble God. RumbleWebsites is the web design, development, hosting, and maintenance brand operated by Alistair Dickerson.

If you create a profile, the app may process email address, full name, username, profile identifiers, session details, and authentication information handled by Supabase Auth. If you use Google login, Google may provide your email, name, and profile image.

Guests may use selected free app features without a profile. Some guest progress or preferences may be stored only in the browser on that device and may be lost if browser data is cleared or another device is used.

Data is used to create and secure accounts, save RP and progress, sync desktop/mobile use, store recordings, remember settings, send confirmation and password reset emails, prevent abuse, debug errors, and respond to support requests.

The app may use Supabase for auth, database and storage; Google for optional Google login; PayFast for checkout, payment verification, recurring subscription billing, and cancellation requests; email/SMTP services for account messages; and hosting, CDN, browser, security, or infrastructure services to operate the website.

The Marimba Studio does not intend to store full card or bank details directly in the app. Payment details are processed by the payment provider. The app stores only the payment and subscription records needed to verify payments, grant RP or subscription benefits, prevent duplicate credits or fraud, support cancellations, keep audit logs, and help with payment support.

Where applicable under South African privacy law, including POPIA, information may be processed based on consent, providing the profile service, operational/security interests, or legal obligations.

You may request access, correction, deletion, objection, or withdrawal of consent where applicable by contacting marimba@therumblegod.co.za.

Reasonable measures are used to protect profile-linked records and limit users to their own data. Third-party providers may process or store information outside South Africa. Profile data is kept while needed for the account, service operation, security, legal compliance, or support. Payment, subscription, audit, tax, security, email, backup, or fraud-prevention records may remain for longer where needed for accounting, disputes, legal compliance, technical recovery, or abuse prevention.

If a child or young user creates a profile, a parent, guardian, teacher, or responsible adult should supervise the account and understand what information is being provided.
